As a Financial Controller, you are the financial cornerstone of our organizations. You work closely with the board and management team and act as a key advisor when it comes to figures, insights, and strategy. Thanks to your experience in the flower and/or plant industry, you understand how our world operates: seasonal influences, trading margins, and international flows.
What will you be doing?
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Providing insight into margins, liquidity, and cost price developments
- Identifying risks and opportunities and discussing them with management
- Improving and monitoring financial processes and internal controls
- Maintaining contact with accountants, banks, insurance companies, and other external parties
- Supporting strategic and business-economic issues
- Managing the financial administration team
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level (Finance, Accountancy, or Business Economics)
- Experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role
- Proven experience in the flower and/or plant industry is required
- A hands-on mentality; you may step in to support the financial administration when needed
- Analytical, accurate, and able to work independently
- Proactive, takes initiative, and communicates clearly
- Good command of the Dutch language (English is a plus)
